A piece of Danish culture and a beautiful experience with panoramic views of Horns Rev.
The beautiful Blåvandshuk Fyr is just 12 kilometres by bike or hike along the coast from Vejers Strand Camping or about 14 kilometres by car.
The lighthouse measures 39 metres, but due to its location on the high dune, it reaches 55 metres above sea level. Furthermore, Blåvandshuk Fyr is located at Denmark's westernmost point, Blåvands Huk.
As a guest at Vejers Strand Camping, you get a 20% discount on the day ticket. Upon arrival at the lighthouse, you must present your receipt for your stay and the discount will be deducted.
The lighthouse was built in 1900 to replace an old angular lighthouse from 1888 and is now a listed building. However, the lighthouse is still functional and the light from the top reaches as far as 60 kilometres out to sea. There is partial public access to Blåvandshuk Fyr and from the top there is a fantastic panoramic view of Horns Rev and Denmark's largest wind farm.
